On this week's program, host Phil Tower welcomes Jason Russell, founder, and president of Secure Education Consultants. Jason discusses the recent tragic school shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas, and at Oxford High School in Oxford, MI. Jason has decades of federal law enforcement experience and modern security expertise and speaks about comprehensive prevention-focused safety and security programs for schools and what can be done to make schools safer.

In part 2, Phil speaks with Amy Acton, CEO/Executive Director, of Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors. Amy Acton began her career as a nurse and later nurse manager of the burn unit at Spectrum Health Regional Burn Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she herself was treated at the age of 18 for an electrical burn injury. Amy also helped establish the Phoenix SOAR (Survivors Offering Assistance in Recovery) program in 2002, which has grown to more than 70 burn centers across the nation. Phoenix SOAR is the leading hospital-based program helping survivors and healthcare systems navigate the social and emotional impact. Today, Amy leads the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors.
