We generally have an idea about how we are affected when someone else cheats a system we are all a part of but sometimes it doesn't seem too closely connected to us. In this episode of Upstate Issues, Frank Sztuk talks about Insurance Fraud. Frank is the Senior Vice President of Investigative Services at Delta Group and chair of the public outreach committee for the New York Alliance Against Insurance Fraud. He was also a cop in New Jersey for 10 years. He has stories about how people have tried to scam insurers with phony, and sometimes dangerous, claims on their medical, auto and individual insurance. Sztuk says the scams are something we all ultimately wind up paying for.
