In the United States, there are approximately 8 million Latinos who provide care for an adult friend or family member. Family caregivers are the backbone of our long-term care system, and they are breaking down under the pressure they experience. Family caregivers face physical, emotional, and financial difficulties. Not only do they spend time and energy caring for a loved one, but most also spend their own money to help with the care.
