The Democrats who now control the House Ways and Means Committee are eager to get their hands on the returns and are easing their way into an almost-certain legal battle. Woodlands Congressman Kevin Brady – the ranking Republican on the Ways & Means Committee - said such a move would be an abuse of power and said there were other ways to examine his business dealings. Trump broke decades of tradition by refusing to release the documents during the 2016 campaign, and has continued to do so ever since. President Trump held a campaign rally in El Paso last night. This is the seventh rally that President Trump has held in Texas and the first rally in El Paso since he first began his race for president in June 2015. According to a campaign spokesperson, “As the President continues his fight to secure our border, there’s no better place to demonstrate that walls work than in El Paso.
