There was something special about having an office of the President of the United States right here in Houston. After returning here from the White House, former President George HW Bush kept an active calendar in that office suite in Memorial. It was an honor to see it. Now, it is going through a change….a bittersweet change, said the note from his former chief of staff Jean Becker.
It is another goodbye, but also an hello….as the space now becomes home to the George and Barbara Bush Foundation which will continue the legacy of Points of Light, Family Literacy, and the Bush Presidential Library and Bush School of Government at Texas A&M. Now it will be a satellite office for these and other projects…that Becker terms….the Bushes bucket list. And they do go on…..
