Yes, there was a Hawks preseason game over the weekend, and the Dawgs kick off their season on Saturday, but there are two stories dominating the news today, one local, and one national, and they're both similar in nature. First, Andrew Luck announced, seemingly out of nowhere, that he would be retiring from the NFL effective immediately. He got a lot of immediate blowback from Colts fans, but if he's done physically or even mentally, it's unreasonable to expect him to keep destroying himself. Here at home, Jake Haener has decided to transfer after not getting the starting quarterback job with the Huskies. It's understandable why he'd want to leave, but was it the right decision? Haener himself joins the show to talk about his reasons for departing the program and entering the transfer portal. So what's the mood like in Indy today after Luck's announcement?
