We first started reporting the possibility yesterday, and today it's official; Mike Leach has taken the head coaching job at Mississippi State. Just a month ago, Leach signed a one-year extension, good through 2024, which led us to think that maybe he'd stay for now, but clearly that did not happen. Leach is taking an SEC job that's closer to home, but one also wonders if he had beaten Washington a time or two if things wouldn't be different. He'd have had a better shot at the Pac-12 Championship, and recruiting within the state would have been helped as well. This leaves a big coaching vacancy over in Pullman, so what's next for the school? Christian Caple usually covers the Huskies for The Athletic but he's keeping close tabs on this situation. We bring him on the show to give us updates. Ian of course has thoughts on the move. We catch up with him as he makes his way to Green Bay.
