We start the show with some troubling news, as we are getting reports of a shooting tat the Raptors victory parade in Toronto. It sounds as though it's an isolated incident, but it still reminds us of the unfortunate reality that these things occur often in today's world now. On a more positive note, the Toronto victory, and the celebration that followed reminds us of what fandom is. It isn't always logical, but it does bring a sense of belonging to a community. Back here at home, the Mariners have traded Edwin Encarnacion. We all of course, knew this was coming, but what many expected was something greater in return than what we got; a pitching prospect named Juan Then who had previously been in the M's organization before being traded for Nick Rumbelow. On Something Good, Gary Woodland won the US Open. If you don't know the story already, we share why he's so highly-regarded as a human being.
