There's been a lot of talk about players sitting out bowl games to protect themselves ahead of the draft, and an argument being repeatedly made is that they shouldn't put themselves at risk for a meaningless game. These games aren't meaningless. This is what these teams have been working for. For 99 percent of players, this will be the highlight of their career. Greg Cosell of NFL Matchup previews the Hawks' matchup against the 49ers in Santa Clara, plus an analysis of last night's Chiefs and Chargers game. Rashaad Penny won't play this weekend. His carries can be made up, but his explosiveness will be missed. What could make this important is what the injury actually is. There wasn't a mention of him being seriously hurt on Wednesday. Baseball Hall of Fame voting is underway, and things are looking good for Edgar early, but there's one writer who voted for him last year who's opted not to this year.
