When I was a kid, I was persuaded to stay away from endless hours playing video games. Back in the old days, you had to go an arcade and drop rolls of quarters into machines and consume sugary drinks to keep your high score on Defender from being topped. Today, MLB managers are installing curfews to keep grown men from excessive Fortnite gaming. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
I can sit here and gripe all I want, going all Gran Torino and "get off my lawn" about these kids today, but the role of a manager or a coach is not only played out during the nine innings of a baseball game or within the time constraints of any event. He has to be responsible for the actions of his employees, and apparently, some of his employees need a bit more "parenting" than others.
