Welcome to the weekend edition of RiversZen Today for Saturday and Sunday, October 27th and 28th, 2018

News of the day: All this week we have been concentrating on body blind spots . . . those parts of our body which have been overused, underused, misused, abused or confused. Have you learned anything new about you this week? Have you taken the time in class to concentrate and allow your body to communicate with you? It is really easy to miss the signs if you don’t pay attention. The key, whether you are in class or going through your daily life, is to move with ease while being mindful. What do you feel? When do you feel it? Does it hurt? Does it creak or pop? Be deliberate in your motions. You owe it to yourself to take the time to test your strength and range of motion, so you can start making the changes you need to keep your body happy, your posture aligned and your various systems working effectively.

We have been working with Barbie this week to demonstrate various body blind spots. Our contest to win a free assessment or stretch or 10-class package continues through the end of the month. Simply find Barbie at either of our studios, take a selfie and post it to RiversZen’s Facebook page or tag us from your own page to enter. You can also enter the contest by posting, emailing or texting a new name for Barbie as she is seeking a new identity as she continues her work at RiversZen.
