Oh boy, it's the first scary movie of the Halloween season! I'm really excited to be kicking off with The Thing because it's one of those classics I had always intended to watch and never got around to, so thanks a million to David Waters for commissioning this episode.

I really enjoyed this movie, especially the crazy creature-effects, which are just so fucking creepy and gross. There is so much great stuff to work with here, from the isolated setting to the barren landscape to the crew of wildly different personalities being forced to live together and trust each other...or not.
