Shit has really hit the fan for Atticus in these chapters. That damn cop has committed suicide-by-colleague, the gunshot wound that he was able to heal almost instantly is still going to cost him thousands unless he can sue the city, and the cops, namely Jiminez, are pretty suspicious of the fact that he's suddenly toting around a sword after the whole altercation began with someone spotting a sword.
Meanwhile, it turns out that the hot bartender is hosting a witch spirit inside her head, and that witch used to be seriously bad news. She claims to want to change her ways, but Atticus isn't totally convinced, and part of the deal they strike up is that if he helps her retrieve her necklace from Radomila, she move far, far, FAR away. Also, Radomila is probably not as benevolent as she appears to be.
