Every year for the past 5 years I have been a part of a retreat called Luke 18. Luke 18 is lead by high school students who want to help middle school students with their faith. The High schoolers all get together to plan the retreat 2 months ahead of time, to decide what is going to happen. We all want to impact the middle schoolers lives.I have lead, and I have also participated in it.
And this is why……………...THis is a little story about how I have impacted someone's life. I remember 1 time when I was leading, a kid came up to me, I had no idea who this kid was, I have never seen that kid at all.

This happened toward the end of the retreat
He told me,” You made this retreat awesome! I loved how energetic you are, and I look forward to seeing you again.”
I honestly had no clue who he was. When he said that i felt like I accomplished a goal. It was pure awesomeness.
I asked him,” What is your name.”
He told me,” Danny.”
“Will you be here next year?” I asked.
He responded,”If you're here.”
Remember, this is someone I had no clue who he was or even why he was here.
I said,” I will always be here, I would never miss it.”
At that point I new that I would keep coming back year after year. I would come back till I had to leave for college.
As the next few years went by, I was amazing to see what Danny turned into. He went from this kind of shy not talkative person to this outgoing, funny, and just caring person.
The last thing I remember was my friend saying,” Danny is like a mini you.¨
That has stuck with me throughout my life.
At that point I knew that I had impacted someone's life.
This story reminded me of a quote that I like.
Danny is going to go on to impact other people's lives also.
A quote that I have found is: “A life is not important except for the impact it has on others
THis I believe

You can impact someone's life just by hanging out with them.

This I believe.
