Dr. Somdat Mahabir has worked in cancer research at the Cancer Prevention Research Institute (NYC), Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, National Cancer Institute, and the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. He is currently a Program Director and Scientist at the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Mahabir received his MS from New York Institute of Technology, MPH from New York Medical College, and PhD from New York University. He also has a Diploma in Cancer Prevention from the National Cancer Institute. He is the recipient of several awards including academic awards from New York Institute of Technology and New York Medical Technology. He also received a Cancer Prevention Research Training Merit Award from NIH, and most recently an Honor Award from CDC. Dr. Mahabir has published over 30 research papers and a book, and has given several lectures, both in the U.S. and internationally, all related to cancer prevention. Meditation Museum
