Alan Swyer has produced eight award-winning documentaries on subjects ranging from Eastern spirituality in the Western world; to the criminal justice system; boxing; breakthroughs in the treatment of diabetes; baseball; and rock ‘n’ roll. All of this follows Alan's work as a writer, director, and producer on projects as diverse as "The Buddy Holly Story" and HBO’s "Rebound" with Don Cheadle, Forrest Whitaker and James Earl Jones, as well as music videos and commercials.

In the world of music, Alan produced an album of Ray Charles love songs, wrote countless liner notes, and even did a stint managing Ike Turner. His short stories have appeared in literary magazines abroad and in the U.S.

Alan co-hosts a radio show; does a segment on an internet boxing show; has been a faculty member at prestigious institutions; served as a film critic and serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations.
