As we've noted before, if there's one item that we have no shortage of in regard to studying the JFK Assassination, that item would be... alleged-murder weapons. Rifles. LOTS of them to ponder.
In this installment, we'll look at a few of the more obscure and maybe lesser-known witness statements that claim to have seen suspicious characters in and around Dealey Plaza who were carrying, handling, or otherwise acting shady with a high-powered rifle. One story is shaky, but the other? Might be something to it.

Also, don't forget that two Dallas Police motorcycle officers were on routine patrol on the morning of 11/20/1963, two days before the assassination, when they noticed men aiming rifles from BEHIND THE PICKET FENCE ON THE GRASSY KNOLL, engaged in mock target practice in Dealey plaza. The officers gave chase, but the men escaped in a parked nearby. This may have been a 'dry run' for two days later, and may be why the fake Secret Service agent on the knoll was used - to give the grassy knoll gunman more precious seconds to escape, or hide (in the trunk of the car backed up to the fence?).
