Salty Dog Day is quickly approaching. The polls are open and its time to elect the new salty dog major of St. Andrews. The 6th Annual Salty Dog Day event, celebrating all things dog in Salty St. Andrews, will be held Saturday, February 26, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. This dog-friendly event will be an extension of The Market at St. Andrews with proceeds benefiting Operation Spay Bay. Socks, the current Salty Dog Mayor of St. Andrews will greet visitors to the Market, and will announce the new winner of the Salty Dog Mayor's Contest. The market will include unique Salty Dog t-shirts, dog merchandise vendors, veterinarians, treat stations, dog play area, food, music, shopping and entertainment, as well as blessing of the dogs, adoptions, and a Silent Auction.

This week on the podcast we are meeting with salty locals Crystal Ford and Gail O'Dwyer who are the dog mom's of the current mayor Socks and one of the candidates Betty Boop. The two visited to share information about the fundraising event and what its like to be dog moms in St. Andrews.
