WELCOME TO THE SEASON 2 FINALE OF WATCH US THRIVE! This week's guest is a 1st-time podcast guest & I couldn't be more honored to have her close out another amazing season of the show.
The conversation Jen and I had focuses on how speaking up & using her voice ultimately changed her life. Growing up in a neglectful home filled with many types of abuse and addiction, along with experiencing a tragic loss & some pretty toxic relationships later on in life, Jen eventually spoke up & asked for help which was the catalyst of her healing journey.
Jen Tran is a Vietnamese-American graphic & brand designer. Normally, she creates art that's bold & fun, but many don't know that she is a survivor of childhood & relationship abuse. To share and cope with her past experiences, she draws short comics about her life.
Through therapy and the support of her loved ones, Jen has been able to heal and find courage to protect herself from her past life traumas. She's able to voice her opinions & state boundaries without fear of punishment or criticism. Although the healing and triggers may never cease, she's learned how to safeguard her energy and love herself more.
To view Jen’s work, visit her Instagram pages @jentran.designer and @awkward.adulting.
I want to send a huge thank you to Jen & each guest who came onto the show this season. Every story is so impactful and I'm grateful that y'all trusted in my platform to bravely share your stories of turning your pain into power.
Keep supporting the show. This is a space to reconnect with your inner magic, heal your wounds, and #THRIVE. Let's keep diving into the conversations that truly matter and transform lives...together. See you in season 3!✨
