Who is Shauna Anderson?
Shauna Anderson is the Co-founder and CEO of Invata. Having founded the company alongside Janine Lyman, Co-founder and COO, she is ultimately the chief visionary. “I help make the education experience easier for families whether they choose homeschool, alternative or traditional learning systems,” she states. Her core belief is offering experiential learning that is personalized for the individual. Her own journey and most treasured role as a mother to six children led her to create a company founded on such principles. Knowing how to work with children from the perspective of an educator in addition to a parent is what uniquely qualifies her to lead Invata.

Who is Tamara Somerville?
Tamara is a stay-at-home homeschooling mom and loves her community. She co-founded the Facebook group "Westchester Homeschoolers" to connect homeschooling moms like herself to other homeschooling moms in Westchester County in order to foster relationships, increase socialization among their children, and navigate the daunting paperwork for Homeschooling in New York State. She also co-authored the book "African-Americans Families: Why We Homeschool," which is now available on Amazon, and she’s working on her solo project. Her homeschooling podcast will launch in January 2023.

Who is Sandra Price Blyden?
Sandra Price Blyden was born on the Caribbean Island of Antigua, West Indies. As an infant, she left Antigua and relocated to St. Thomas, which is in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where she currently is a resident. In 1989, she graduated from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. In 2013, Ms. Price Blyden also completed a Master of Science degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. She has been an educator in the U.S. Virgin Islands for 30 years. Sixteen years into her teaching career, she became a literacy coach in charge of implementing the evidence-based reading curriculum on the upper elementary level. After 6 years as a literacy coach, Ms. Price Blyden returned to the classroom to continue her career in education. Then she officially launched her business, Blyden Curriculum Consulting, LLC, in 2018. Ms. Price Blyden retired in August 2019 and spends her time enjoying leisure activities and serving the clients of her consulting business.

Who is Dr. Rochelle Somerville?
Rochelle Matthews Somerville, PhD, is a homeschooling mom of six with over 20 years of experience as a university professor, autism specialist, resource teacher and educational consultant, in both the private and public industry, supporting individuals and their families with unique learning and behavioral challenges. Currently she applies her passions for teaching and serving in her roles as Team Leader of the Special Need Educational Consultants at HSLDA and President of EFM Educational Consultants. Dr. Matthews-Somerville has most enjoyed sharing her gifts with the homeschool community over the past 13 years as she has served as program director, community instructor and assessment liaison. She genuinely enjoys providing encouragement and support to other homeschooling families, especially those educating learners with unique needs, in all ways possible.

Who is LaNissir James?
A homeschooling mom and leader, LaNissir has a passion to serve the home-educating community. She provides social, spiritual, academic, and supervisory support for families in local groups and encourages and equips homeschool graduates to transition into colleges, careers, and vocational schools. As an HSLDA high school consultant, LaNissir loves speaking to parents to encourage and support their homeschooling with empathetic, engaging, and practical wisdom. She says, “The joy of helping a family feel confident that they can homeschool is priceless.” She earned her BS in journalism from the University of Maryland College Park, is Myers-Briggs Type Indicator certified, and is pursuing a master’s degree in biblical studies. LaNissir is wife to Lorenzo, who also serves the homeschooling community through sports programs, photography services, and photography classes. She is the mother of seven beautiful homeschooled children (five girls and two boys) with ages ranging from toddler to young adult. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, photography, and kayaking.
