Blessed is the person in whom freedom awakens conscience

Have you ever been challenged to allow yourself absolute freedom within a confined space, whether it be mental, physical or otherwise. In other words, we have myriads of options of what we can do, but the more particular our goal, the more particular our choices to accomplish it. Alignment with cosmic law yields correct behavior with respect to our cultural values. The greater our alignment with our cultural values results in greater liberty (freedom) we are granted. Conscience is the inner being that alerts us to the rightness of our behavior. Rightness is determined by the mutually beneficial relationships within self, family, tribe, village, the greater African community and the cosmos. Then if what is done adheres to the governing principles of my people and benefits them, it is right; but if what is done does not adhere to the governing principles of my people or harms them, then it is Not Right!. These are examples of using freedom to employ what ever measure to achieve a purpose within the confines of a moral code. Freedom aligned with cosmic order yields greater awareness of interactions, interdependence between self and all else. This allows identification with the one, the all. The greater the awareness of these relationships, and the greater the cooperation with these relationships, the greater the ability to warp reality to one’s will.
