You attempt to spin the definition of "secular" unsuccessfully. Secular means: "denoting attitudes, activities, or other things that have no religious or spiritual basis." A synonym is nonreligious. Moreover every coin and bill of currency you have ever spent in America reads "IN GOD WE TRUST." "Nature's God" is named in our Declaration of Independence and the Supreme Court begins every session with a prayer

Secular just means that you don't want religion forced on people by the state-- or by other institutions like schools. You can be secular and religious, and most secular people are also religious.
