Content strategist John Gonzalez and Principal Tony Fischer co-host West Catholic Live, a show about all the great things happening at West Catholic High School.

Season 2, Episode 19 begins with Weekly Chatter, our news segment about West Catholic HS.

WEEKLY CHATTER

The Development Team wants to say “Thank You” to all of our gracious donors for supporting West Catholic with your year end giving! Now that 2023 has begun the team is looking ahead to our annual Celebrate West Auction! We are asking for gift card donations in the value amounts of $20 or more. Donations can be mailed or dropped off in the Main Office. We are also looking for Bucket Raffle donation items, for example: coolers, camping chairs, electronic items, grills, gift baskets, sports memorabilia, etc. If you have any questions or would like to make a donation, please contact Megan Eversman at meganeversman@grwestcatholic.org.

Congratulations to 11th grader Maria Worrell, who recently was named a winner of the Grand Rapids Right to Life essay contest. She will take home $100 and be entered into a national contest. This is the second year in a row that a West Catholic student has won the essay contest.
Maria and nearly 40 West Catholic students and chaperones will be traveling next weekend to Washington D.C. for the March for Life Rally.

*Look for an interview with teacher Pat Nugent, who leads the trip annually, on next week’s show.

Just a Reminder: We have no school on Monday, Jan. 16, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On this week’s show:

*We’ll tell you more about the staff’s Weight Loss Challenge, which began officially on Tuesday.

*We will learn more about teacher Carolyn Hathaway in our new Spotlight video and podcast series.

*And we talk to Dean of Students Sean Nolan about some activities for Households as we prepare to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

This show aired on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023.
