Brittney Griner made an appearance in court and she was also given a court date by the Russian government. The United States continues to maintain that she is being held illegally and that she should be released. As of now, there doesn't seem to be any movement in that direction, but a few scenarios have been put forward that could see not only Brittney come home, but Paul Whelan as well.
