Mindset and marketing are essential components of success in business, even more so than the actual craft. We've seen less talented people reach the top while more talented ones fall behind, because they have different mindsets and marketing strategies. Mindset and marketing involves not just believing in ourselves but also believing in our buyers and audiences.
We have to believe in our artistic capabilities as well as what we are creating. However, it is also important to remember there is another element of this equation – believing in our buyers. Without some faith in those who will potentially view our work and invest in what we create, success may be difficult to come by.
In this episode, Miriam Schulman, the founder of The Inspiration Place, talks about the switch she made from corporate to art and how she was able to build an art business from scratch. She also emphasizes the importance of mindset, marketing, and trust in our buyers.
