He has hiked the AT, PCT, Great Plains Trail, and Colorado Trail, among others. His book, "Bones of My Grandfather: Reclaiming a Lost Hero of WWII" tells the story of his journey to find and recover the remains of his grandfather at the small atoll of Tarawa.
