Bob Lefsetz has been in, and writing about the music biz for ages ! An east coaster who moved out west to chase his dream. He speaks about his early days growing up in Connecticut listening to show tunes with his parents and starting his passion for music. We learn about the circumstances that led him from taking the Bar Exam to working for a management firm. He talks about the relationships with artists and managers and what drove him to create the Lefsetz Letter, which has been circulated around the industry for over 25 years. We hear how he became the go to guy on the file sharing copyright issues which changed the game for the industry. He speaks to the method in which he became beholden to no one in an industry where there was plenty of opportunity for otherwise.
