Only days after the city of New Orleans began its quarantine, Dr. Amy Lesen wrote a column that sounded the alarm. A week later, Dr. Peter Fos published a white paper that continued the conversation about the health disparities that were uncovered by COVID-19. While the issue seems to have died down in the media, Lesen and Fos continue to have serious concerns about how the African American community is affected by COVID-19.
