Today we talk about the importance of resilience, which we define as the ability to get back up faster when you get knocked down. We explain how consistency is the key to achieving what we want, and how building resilience can reduce or even eliminate the hesitation that keeps us from being consistent. We illustrate this with some experiences from Eddie’s life where failure brought trauma and self-hate. We then explain how everything was turned around for Eddie when he realized that he needed to see his failures as happening for him and not happening to him. We then share an exercise that can help us to embrace our failures and prepare us to take risks in the future. We conclude by extending you a special invitation to take the Gallup Strengths Assessment (gallup.com/access) and give you instructions for how you can receive a free 1 hour meeting with Eddie.

“I’m going to own who I am authentically with everything I do, and should I make a quote-unquote mistake, I will be able to look at it and say, ‘Alright, right now, I’m upset, I’m hurt, I got my butt kicked; I can’t see the value of this just yet, but I will.’ That’s it right there, my friends. That’s resilience.” 23:59
