The apostles were willing to go through GREAT suffering on behalf of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. Why would they do that? Because they were utterly persuaded that the Gospel is the POWER of God for salvation to anyone who believes! They counted sufferings to be of little concern compared to the high value of the Kingdom of God being released here on earth!
