Episode 128 Valentina 'Tina' Yorro

64 year old Valentina Yorro, who went by Tina was an active mother and grandmother involved in her community, church, and education system. Above all else, Tina valued her family, especially after losing her husband to Cancer. Tina needed her family more than ever. But things were strained between Tina and one member of her family; her son DJ. DJ had battled drugs and apparently had some mental health issues. Things became so strained at one point that Tina filed a restraining order against DJ, but later changed her mind and asked the court to reverse it. It was a decision that would prove fatal, because in November 2021, Tina would die at the hands of her own son- stabbed to death in her Glen Burnie, MD home. Police responding to the home shot and killed DJ after he came at them with a knife he was holding. The aftermath of this murder has left Tina's daughters, Shirley & Gloria trying to make sense of this tragic event that forever changed their family. While police seem to have closed the door on the case, Tina's daughters suspect that DJ's girlfriend who was at the scene with DJ believe that she may have answers to some of their questions.
Both Shirley and Gloria discuss this tragic and heartbreaking case in this episode.
