Governor Baker weighs in on two issues facing the MBTA

A majority of members of the MBTA's Fiscal and Management Control Board want to move forward with a pilot that would allow low income riders to pay less for their fares. That could mean between 32 million dollars and 63 million dollars in lost revenue for the T. Governor Baker thinks the board has much more important things to worry about, like the safety of the system. He's urging them to focus on safety, to ensure a better commute for all riders.
