Allahﷻ says in the Holy Quran (Surah Ar-Rahman - 55 : Verse 13),

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

‘So which of the favours of your Lord would you [Mankind and Jinn] deny?’

This verse is repeated thirty-one times in Surah Ar-Rahman as mankind is by nature forgetful, and in need of constant reminders to look for the countless Signs and Favours of Allahﷻ Almighty in life.

People have been working to collect from this seemingly never ending life, tricked, like in a dream. Sayyidina Ali RadiAllahu Anhu said that mankind is in slumber (dreaming), and will awaken when death (reality) arrives.

The sweetness of this dream, paddled by shaitan, has caused Bani Adam to forget about the awakening in the afterlife. Hence, Allahﷻ in His Mercy sent numerous Prophets and Saints to remind people to cross this dreamlike ‘Bridge of Life’ and guide them towards the real destination.

Mawlanaق has reminded us in his recent sohbahs of the brief time we have here on earth. He added that mureeds must hurry to do good deeds in preparation for death and not be tricked by shaitan into thinking that it is difficult to do so.

The difficulties of life on earth is like a cupful of water in comparison to the oceans of suffering in the hereafter. Hence, wise ones will flee to Reality- to Allahﷻ and are happy with Himﷻ.

For a mureed, there is no need to grumble about life and be ungrateful when there are limitless favours of Allah Almighty which we cannot deny. Heﷻ Created us from Hisﷻ Love and Promised Eternal Happiness for those who surrender completely to Hisﷻ Will.

وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ {93:4}
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ {93:5}

‘And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. And your Lord is going to give you so much that you will be satisfied.’ (Surah Ad-Duhaa : Verse 4-5)

Everything in creation is meticulously arranged by Allah's ﷻ Hands, so we should not be ungrateful for Hisﷻ Benevolent Choices. If Heﷻ Decides, then it must be best for us.

In these pressing times we live in, it is easy to only see a small black dot- the problems, on a piece of paper, amidst the vastness- favours, surrounding it.

Be thankful for the honourable gifts of Islam, Iman, being from the progeny of Sayyidina Adam Alayhi Salam, chosen to be from the Nation of The Belovedﷺ of the end times and in the best of Tariqah, Naqshbandi Aliyyah.

Believers, mureeds especially, must be aware of the endless bounties from Allahﷻ. There is no need to be depressed over current conditions. Good or bad to us is in reality the best for us.

Hence, smile in thankfulness, for Allahﷻ Loves a smiling face.

Strive to live cheerfully, focused on the Hereafter and in constant thankfulness for every small gift because what we have is indeed invaluable.

May Allahﷻ grant us to be thankful ones who are honoured in this life and the next to be in happiness and complete surrender to Hisﷻ Will.
