Do you find that you compare yourself to other people? This Chai Talk is all about how to stay in your own lane. I propose three questions that we can ask ourselves in order to live a life that feels good on the inside. Do what you love; know your limits; and get clear on your priorities. When your path is guided by your heart, you'll always be home. Thanks for listening!

Thank you so much, Jen, for this permission we all need so very much. I think my hardest challenge is when family asks me for help. I am by nature a helper and my family does not live that close, some further than others. When they do ask for help it's USUALLY because they really need it and no matter what mood I'm in or what I'm in the middle of, I can't help but stop and go help. I HAVE found that when I am busy and asked to helped, I end up in a less than than pleasant mood because it's not where I really want/need to be. There have been a few times when I just couldn't help and I get that guilty feeling tugging at me and I have to talk myself through that. On another note, reagarding showing a good example to others, one can definitely set a mood by the tone of which something is said or done. I'm learning (and loving) how not to react to a sour tone or remark and how quickly a situation can be diffused as opposed to escalating. I've learned in those instances to remind myself that whatever someone else has said or done is their karma, not mine (the opposite is true for myself as well). When I don't feed into or react to someone elses sour mood, I feel so much at peace and I find that it's much easier to let go of that situation.
