Ben Barnes joins us to talk about his new hit drama an Acorn original Gold Digger a six-part series that just dropped today.
The Acorn TV original Gold Digger is one of those shows that will want to tell your friends about. It is a good old fashioned “Water Cooler,” drama with lots plot twists and characters to love and hate.
The show stars Julia Ormond who plays a 60-year mother of two grown children, her husband of 35 years has left her for her best friend and as a birthday gift she wants a little getaway to London for a little me time. That is where things become interesting as she meets Ben Barnes who plays a much younger man while the two are spending the afternoon at the museum.
That chance meeting quickly moves to a full blown romance and their age difference causes her children to see Ben as nothing more than a gold digger. It is a wonderfully written, well acted drama that is made for picking sides and good chat about who you like and dislike.
I give it five stars.
