    3 AUG 2021 · We have hit the knockout stage in Olympic Basketball. The Women will get started on Wednesday Morning as the ladies will face Australia in the Quarterfinals 12:40AM EST. The men's team played their Quarterfinals matchup earlier this morning against World rival Spain. A strong 2nd Half led by Kevin Durant pushed Team USA into the Semifinals on Thursday.  The NBA Free Agency began yesterday and a lot of moves was made especially out West. The Lakers signed four former players to their roster after acquiring Russell Westbrook last week in a trade. Chris Paul re-signed with the Phoenix Suns for the max.     28 JUL 2021 · USA Basketball is still in the Preliminary Round for both men's and women's. The men's team are now 1-1 after a dominating performance versus Iran early in the morning. A much-needed and performance for the men led by Damian Lillard. The ladies are one game in their run for a 7th consecutive gold medal, defeating Nigeria on yesterday morning.   • Hoops Talk EP.40: NBA Champion Crowned; Now on to Tokyo

    23 JUL 2021 · A NBA Champion has been crowned. Congratulations to the Milwaukee Bucks, 2021 NBA Champions. Finals MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo put on his best performance on the biggest game in Bucks' history. Dropping FIFTY POINTS to close out the Phoenix Suns in Game 6, to bring the city of Milwaukee another championship since 1971, FIFTY YEARS AGO.  With the NBA Season over, doesn't mean Hoops Talk is over because now the focus turns to Tokyo. The 2020 Olympics is here and both the men and women's USA basketball teams are looking for Gold Medal yet again. On the women's side, going for a seventh straight Gold Medal is the journey. With Dawn Stanley coaching, Sue Bird and Diana Taursai leading the team, the USA Women's are primed and ready for number seven. On the men's side however, there are some questions going into Tokyo. Dropping the first exhibition games to Nigeria and Australia before beating Spain, the men's USA team has some things to workout.   • Hoops Talk EP.39: NBA Finals Game 4 Preview and USA Basketball

    14 JUL 2021 · The Milwaukee Bucks took care of business in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Winning 120-100 over the Phoenix Suns cut the series deficit to 2-1 Phoenix. Giannis put himself in rare company by going for another 40-pt double-double in the Finals. Holiday came through to provide help for Giannis. Devin Booker for the Suns had his worst game of these playoffs with inly 10 points. Game 4 is tonight and the pressure is on the Bucks to defend homecourt again.  In other news, dive into the USA Men's Basketball team as the Tokyo Olympics is just 8 days. The USA team have struggled in the exhibition games losing the first two games before winning the third game on last night. This Men's team on paper is not feared like the others teams of the past.     8 JUL 2021 · Game 1 of the NBA Finals went to the home team, Phoenix Suns. Chris Paul was great, Devin Booker was good, and Deandre Ayton dominated inside. Giannis played great in return from injury, but the others failed to step up despite Khris Middleton scoring 29 points which came mostly in the 2nd half.     1 JUL 2021 · One half of the NBA Finals was determined last night. Congratulations to the Western Conference Champions, The Phoenix Suns. Finishing off the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 6. The first Finals appearance since 1993.  The Eastern Conference Finals is tied 2-2 going into Game 5 tonight. No Giannis Antetokoumnpo for the Milwaukee Bucks with the hyperextension in his knee. The status of Trae Young is up in the air for the Atlanta Hawks with the deep bone bruise in the ankle.     28 JUN 2021 · The Western Conference could be on the verge of ending tonight. The Phoenix Suns are one win away from the NBA Finals. Despite, the play of the Suns, it's the Clippers fault for the Suns to be where they are up 3-1 with Game 5 in Phoenix. Paul George struggles in the big moments has Chris Paul on the verge on a deserving trip.  The Eastern Conference Finals are showing the struggles of the Atlanta Hawks after dropping to straight games including Game 3 in Atlanta last night. Milwaukee could say this series should be 3-0, but they let the Hawks steal Game 1. A blowout in Game 2 to even the series and an early 15-point comeback last night has momentum with the Bucks.
