This season, we’ve seen some interesting free agent acquisitions, and talent priorities. We dove into what we’ve seen from the Birds on a more macro level this week. Topics that Ed and Jeff dove into:
- How has Howie Roseman and the front office viewed this offseason as they’ve been retooling, and how that restructure may look in future years as well?
- Will we see a front office philosophy of building and strictly focusing on the trenches, or might we see something different as the offseason progresses?
- How might the Eagles approach this upcoming NFL Draft?
- What does Jalen Hurts need to work on most this offseason?
All of this and much more this week on Table Talk!

This week on TABLE TALK, Jeff dove into the recent announcements that the Philadelphia Eagles will be signing mega contracts with RB Saquon Barkley and DE Bryce Huff.
The Eagles haven’t invested a great deal of financial resources into the running back position over many years - but that changes starting this year as they gave Saquon Barkley a three-year deal worth $37.5 million. It’s a deal that could amount to $46.75M and also includes $26M fully guaranteed.
Bryce Huff is Vic Fangio’s first mega acquisition. Huff and the Eagles have reached a three-year, $51.1 million deal in which he will become the highest-paid non-quarterback undrafted free agent in NFL history. The New York community must be very sad on this day.

Today, March 4, 2024, will be a day that will live in infamy within the world of Eagles Nation and Philly sports. Jason Kelce, the best center to play the game of professional football, has retired.
While we certainly wish Jason the best as he’ll move onto new endeavors and continue to change and entertain the world in fascinating and positive ways, we wanted to reflect on what he meant to the Eagles, especially after winning the Super Bowl. We have included in this podcast his post-Super Bowl 52 speech as he was dressed as a Mummer. It was iconic. It was passionate. It was Philly.
We also wanted to play his retirement speech, where you could simply feel his passion as he spoke. Make sure to get out the tissues.
Our very best to you, Jason. You were Philadelphia.
