23 APR 2024 · Don't Trash Dover and the City of Dover are sponsoring "Power of an Hour," a one-hour volunteer litter collection event organized by ward on Saturday, April 27, from 9:30-10:30 a.m.   Residents are encouraged to arrive at their ward's designated meeting location by 9:15 a.m. wearing a safety vest or bright clothing, gloves and closed-toe shoes. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Bags will be provided.   For one hour, volunteers will pick up litter in their ward, being mindful of private property and safety. 23 APR 2024 · A long-abandoned silver mine for sale sounded like an adventure too great to pass up, but it turned into much more-a calling, a community of millions, and hard-earned lessons about chasing impractical dreams.  The siren song of Cerro Gordo, a desolate ghost town perched high above Death Valley, has seduced thousands since the 1800s, but few fell harder for it than Brent Underwood, who moved there in March of 2020, only to be immediately snowed in and trapped for weeks.   Underwood bet his life savings-and his life-on this majestic, hardscrabble town that had broken its fair share of ambitious men and women. 22 APR 2024 · The 2019 Masters golf tournament became the defining moment of just what a comeback is, both in sports and in life. Over two and a half decades ago, the sports world in general and the golf establishment in particular, was struck by a bolt of lightning, the likes of which they never dreamed. It was then that 21-year old Tiger Woods won the most prestigious golf tournament in the world.by a record 12 strokes and breaking the course record in his first time playing the tournament.  As Bob Harig reports in his new book DRIVE: The Lasting Legacy of Tiger Woods, history wasnt just made that day, rather, it was only beginning.  Bob Harig joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to chat about Tiger Woods and the new book.

22 APR 2024 · The Secret Apartment is the story of a Vietnam vet who claims to have lived in Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia for years.  Some called the multipurpose stadium and its Astro Turf field an embarrassment to the city of Philadelphia.  Ohters call it part of their lives.  Tom Garvey just called it home. Mike Pomp from the Morning Information Center had a chance to speak with Tom Garvey, who was an employee, turned stowaway at the Phillies/Eagles stadium 40 years ago.

Writer and critic Noah Gittell sheds some light on well-known classics and overlooked gems,exploring how baseball cinema creates a stage upon which the American ideal is born, performed and repeatedly defined. Noah spent some time with Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to discuss baseball on opening day 2024.

Jeff is the author of "We're Live in 5" and he joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to chat about his long career in television.

19 MAR 2024 · Some of the most influential women in sports tell their stories of courage, adversity and triump to trailblazeer Bonnie-Jill Lafllin, the first and only female NBA scout with the Los Angeles Lakers, in hter new book, " A League of Her Own:  Celebrating Female Firsts in Sports."  Bonnie sat down with Mike Pomp on the Morning Informatiion Center to chat about the book and her extraordinary sports career.

15 MAR 2024 · Kate Flannery is best know for her 9 seasons as Meredith on NBC's The Office. Now Kate is performing in a new film entitled The Prank now in theaters across the country.  Kate spent some time with Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to chat about her comedy career and the new movie.

13 MAR 2024 · Two-time EmmyAward-winning journalist and author Tamron Hall is the Executive Producer and host of the nationallysyndicated talk show Tamron Hall.  Tamron Hall continues to be one of television's highest-rated daytime shows and now the long time journalist has published her new upcoming novel entitled : Watch Where They Hide: A Jordan Manning Novel.  Tamron joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to share her ideas behind the new book.

12 MAR 2024 · The University of New Hampshire Men's Hockey team is starting post season play and it all starts with the Hockey East Tournament opening round Wednesday March 13th at 7pm at the Whittemore Center in Durham, N.H.  #6 UNH take on # 11 seed UMass Lowell in the first home playoff game in nine seasons for UNH.  UNH Mens' hockey coach Mike Souza, now in his 6th year behind the bench, joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to discuss the UNH hockey program and playoff hockey in Hockey East and the NCAA.
