  • Nicole C Mullen

27 APR 2019 · Nicole C. Mullen has spent time at the front of the stage, and has stood behind some of the most recognizable names in Christian music as a background vocalist both on stage and in the studio. An incredibly talented writer and singer, she continues to shine through a recent project "The God Who Sees" a song co-written by Kathie Lee Gifford, who also produced an 11-minute video for the song. She gained some new fans around the country when she appeared on The Today Show to sing the song as a surprise guest during Kathie Lee's farewell program in April, 2019.

The Echo is filled with voices of Christian music's past as they continue to shimmer and shine into the future.

Not many years ago Christian Radio wasn’t dominated by big networks pumping the exact same music and a handful of DJs through dozens of stations in every state.

In that time, local radio stations connected with their listeners and community in such a way that they built relationships and fostered a sense of belonging, and they did the same with artists that made the music they were playing.

The artists whose music filled the radio stations’ playlists also shaped and encouraged a generation through their approachable presentations of the Gospel.

Many of those artists, writers, producers and DJs found their platforms missing with fairly short notice, but their voices continue to reverberate through the industry built on their backs.

These are their stories. This is the echo.
