Think about it….how often have you lost self control for your desired life? We need to know that there is a scriptural and healthy way to exercise our God given right to choose to BE SELF CONTROLLED while on the way to your dream for greater good in life based on understanding your spiritual & mental perspective & laws! (1 Peter 4:2 ESV) MODERATION & BALANCE ARE A SIGN OF INNER STRENGTH Let your reasonableness (moderation) be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; (Philippians 4:5 ESV) Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul. (1 Peter 2:11 ESV) If you have found honey, eat only enough for you, lest you have your fill of it and vomit it. (Proverbs 25:16 ESV) BEING BORN AGAIN TRUMPS THE NATURAL LIFE We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. (Romans 6:6 ESV) WALKING IN CHRIST GIVES VICTORY OVER THE FLESH But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. (Romans 13:14 ESV) I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20 ESV) And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Galatians 5:24 ESV) CUT AWAY ANYTHING THAT CAUSES YOU TO LOSE CONTROL and put a knife to your throat if you are given to appetite. (Proverbs 23:2 ESV) ****** REMEMBER: TRUE SELF CONTROL BEGINS BY BEING FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT ***The Mystery's Challenge Of The Week For Us All*** ‘After listening identify ALL the areas of your life where you can ‘GET SELF CONTROLLED’ on the way to your goal and dream. Write them down on a sheet of paper and then decide on 3 different ways or times you can, & by faith according to Gods word,TO DEVELOPE SELF CONTROL ON THE WAY TO YOUR GREATER GOOD. ***NOTE: The Easiest way for me is to FIGURE WHEN ARE WHERE I BEGIN TO LOSE SELF CONTROL ON THE WAY TO MY GOALS & THEN WRITE DOWN WAYS THAT YOU CAN DETECT THEM WHEN THEY TRY TO SURFACE ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD FOR THAT DREAM AND OR GOAL!! Based on what you have learned and been reminded of here…. ARE YOU AWARE OF THE GOD-GIVEN POWER TO THINK, CHOOSE, SPEAK, FEEL & ACT IN FAITH WITHIN YOU when it comes to consciously ’BE SELF CONTROLLED IN THE SPIRIT' each day so that He and His love can flow through you in an ‘easier’ way for and towards your greater good? Jot down the intention to ‘let it be so’ in your journal and then ask God for the strength, patience and love put it into conscious loving practice with acceptance. Amen.
