Love is a process that requires commitment. It takes commitment to love God, yourself and others. It takes fortitude to go the distance and not be abusive to yourself or others.
Everyone is not accepted. Rejection can be heavy and burdensome like a despised cloak worn not because it is loved but because it feels required. The rejection you feel was given to you by someone who was supposed to affirm you but chose to reject you instead. Get ready for good news - God never rejected you.
Pain can blind us or cause us to see clearer. When you experience painful circumstances, do you consider the pain is an opportunity to get close to God? God is not absent in the difficult moments. He is closer than you think and waiting to love you.
When you look at your life do you feel that you are effective in the world or overwhelmed by it? Stress makes it difficult to function and to love anyone including God and yourself. How do you handle stress? Do you recognize your own boundaries and respect the life God gave you? Doing so opens the path to personal peace, strength and better relationship with God, yourself and with others.
