19 OCT 2016 · When I woke up that day I never thought it would have ended the way it did. One morning I woke and got ready for the day like I do every day, but on this particular day me and my cousin and her family were gonna go to Michigan Adventures. If you don’t know what MIchigan Adventures is, it's a theme park that’s about an hour away from where I live. We left relatively early. When me and my two cousin and their parents finally arrived we were excited. We got into the park and my Uncle told me and my cousin that we had to meet back up by the water park so we can go eat. By the way this was for my Uncle’s company picnic. We rode rides and whenever I ride rollercoasters i get a thrill. I love it because I can always feel it in my stomach when the cart to the coaster goes down. When the time came to eat we did as we were told and we met up with my Uncle and Aunt to eat. In my opinion the food was good but I didn't get much to eat. We went on with are day and when we decided we were gonna leave we all packed into the car. I knew it was gonna be a long drive home and so did my cousins because they were already knocked out so i decided I was gonna take a nap. I don’t know how long we were driving for but out of nowhere i hear a crash “Damnit” my uncle yells. My cousins wake up the same time I do and I already knew that we had gotten into a crash. I guess the adrenaline in my body was rushing through my body because I didn't feel a thing. I look around and everything seemed like it was in slow motion. I look out my window and there is a car right out my window. My Aunt calls the police right away. I can hear her telling the lady on the other side of the phone where we are. I look at my cousin and you can see the fear on her face. The truck who crashed into us was a man and when I look back out the window I can see the fear on his face as his car started reversing. My Aunt starts repeating his license plate to the lady on the phone. I can hear the faint sounds of sirens coming. I am still very unaware of what just happened. Suddenly my door opens as a paramedic grabs my hand and helps me out and tells me to lay on the gurney. I tell them I want my cousin. She gets out of the car and hops in the ambulance with me as my Uncle starts explaining what happened. I can hear my Aunt's voice in the front of the ambulance and the Paramedic comes in the back and starts asking me all these questions and I can slowly feel my chest tightening up and I start having a panic attack. It seemed like forever to get to the hospital. When taken to my room I find out that my leg is sprained. Then comes the time when I have to call my Mom to tell her I'm in the hospital. When my mom answers the phone and says hello, as I hear her voice I can feel the tears start running down my face and I tell her everything that just happened and she was told me to calm down. My Uncle was in bad shape because he has a bad back. I was scared because the nurses kept asking me questions and usually my mom is always there to answer the questions. When my mom finally showed up I was so thankful and felt more safe. I was discharged from the hospital that day but i thank god that me and my family in the car were okay.
