Social cognitive theory is a learning theory that was explained by Albert Bandura with the help of his class. This theory explains that people learn from interacting with others. That could be through imitation, modeling or observation. This theory came into existence because Bandura believed in determinism rather than behaviorism paradigm (LEE, FARROW, SPENCE & WOODRUFF, 2004). This is by understanding that the environment and the behavior of people influence each other. People learn from what they see in the environment. This theory has been used in various cases in learning. This paper will look at analyzing how social cognitive theory has helped people in the learning process.
