Established in January 2016, the JRC SciArt project has the objective of triggering innovation in research and bringing together science, art and society. Strongly influenced by the mission of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission of doing science in support of policy, it gives scientists, artists and policymakers the opportunity to meet, work together and explore the wide intersecting plains between art and science. The project works at a local and global level, transcends cultural, generational, disciplinary and institutional boundaries, and strives to impact our collectivities.
