  • Episode 26. Skip Chapman - JSA Gym

    8 JAN 2019 · Happy New Year Y'all!!! We're back and Episode 26 is a banger! Over the holiday I was fortunate to sit down Skip Chapman from JSA Gym in Manasquan, New Jersey. Skip is an OG Crossfitter and affilate owner, starting in 2005 as the 180th CrossFit in the world and over a decade later is now the 107th. Skip and I sat down to discuss the evolution of Crossfit and how that has impacted how JSA operates as a gym and a community. Over the years we've seen lots of changes with the CrossFit model but over a decade later it all comes back to the community and being healthy so that you can be better at your sport or hobby, enjoy life and prolong the inevitable as long as possible. This is one of my favorite conversations to date and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.   • Episode 25. Milo "Little Bad Ass" Duffy

    12 OCT 2018 · In march of 2017 as a 13 year old Milo and his mother set of north bound on the Appalachian Trail a 2,200 mile through hike. Six months later now 14, "Little Bad Ass" had reached Mount Katahdin in Maine. Along the way Milo had some ideas to create the perfect pack to fit his needs for fast packing and through hiking. From this adventure Little River Packs was born. Now living in New Mexico, Milo is home schooled and most days he's busy being an entrepreneur working on producing his current designs and custom building packs for other through hikers and adventures.   • Episode 23. Eric Cutlip L.Ac MSTCM

    5 SEP 2018 · Eric Cutlip is an Acupuncturist and Herbal Pharmicist, orgionally from West Virginia now running his clinic, Misty Mountain Medicine in Raleigh, North Carolina. I first met Eric in 2014 in Leadville, I had just finished my first 50 mile race and shortly after had a flare up in my lower back. Eric got me back up and running (pun intended) and from that point forward I was a firm believer in acupuncture and all that Chinese Medicine had to offer. Fast forward a year and a fractured foot later, western medicine wanted to put a screw in my foot, I opted to work with Eric instead. After two and a half months of intense treatments with Eric and I was back to running. In this episode we discuss Eric's journey into Chinese Medicine, what brought about his community style treatment and the energy and opportunity it provides his clients.     29 AUG 2018 · Kevin Roddy has been a mixed martial artist since 2005 with over 30 professional fights in the Feather Weight Division, Kevin has fought for Bellator,Strikeforce and M-1 Global. Born and raised at the Jersey Shore, Kevin hails from Bricktown, NJ and started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2002, as a Black Belt Kevin is the co-owner of Asbury Park Jiu-Jistu. The world of martial arts is filled with politics and if you train a one school it is highly frowned upon that you train at other schools. Kevin and his partner Ian Clark opened APJJ with an open door, no politics policy welcoming anyone and everyone to training at their school because when everybody does better everyone does better! In this episode we discuss coming up through the underground ranks of MMA fighting for ticket sales, cutting weight and what inspired opening a no politics school.
