Kathryn, Linsey and Indy, return for season two of Dviine Gravity, looking at how our theology may be impacted by lived experience.
With thanks to Luke Mitchell, Chris Mitchell and Music Box Productions.
Linsey, Kathryn and Indy discuss the Nativity and the child Christ's affront to the power dynamics of human culture.
We look at The Wise Men (Matt 2), The Syrophenician Woman (Matt 15, Mark 7), Hezekiah and Isaiah (2 Kings 20) and Deborah and Barak (Judges 4).
As a team, we felt we needed to reflect on the current cultural focus regarding Black Lives Matter. We talk about our personal reactions, the challenges we see ahead and delve into some of what the Bible and Jesus say about this issue. This was recorded prior to the Forbury incident.
In this episode, we explore how God can become visible in the everyday through windows in our lives.
This is our first lockdown episode, so our apologies for the poorer sound quality.
Looking at Jesus Healing ministry, we explore His desire to bring hope. We first recorded this in November, long before the current public health crisis. Maybe you'll find it encouraging, maybe challenging. We hope you get something from it.
Part Two of our time with Dr Claire Bankole and Rev Anika Parker of SYC. We pick up by looking at their process of mission, and how small groups of friends are the best tool for changing lives and helping others.
Dr Claire Bankole and Rev Anika Parker, join Indy to talk about their calling and passions, as part of Shift Youth & Community.
This is a two-part episode, picking up next week looking at their process of mission.
Beth Hare from Home for Good, joins Indy to talk about the power of fostering and adoption.
