Each loss met a different version of me. Different levels of awareness. Different emotional capacity. Different understanding of grief, trauma, and healing. What I didn’t expect was that every major loss would also bring old pain to the surface. Childhood wounds, years of silence around trauma, and patterns I hadn’t realized were still shaping me began asking for attention. I came to understand something I speak about often now: Present pain has a way of introducing us to older pain that has been waiting to be acknowledged. Not to punish us. To ask for our attention. The tools I once studied became the things I returned to when breathing felt difficult. When my nervous system no longer felt safe. When life changed in ways I could never undo. I earned certifications, deepened my studies, and continued learning while grieving, because life wasn’t waiting for me to catch up. Every practice I share has been tested against real life.
