God is our Source, and our fellowship with Him keeps us connected to the One from whom our fruit is found. But connection must produce something. The second law of fruitfulness is obedience. It is unwise to take God out of the definition of success. Hard work is important. Knowledge is important. Strategy is important. Discipline is important. But as believers, we must never build our definition of success while leaving out obedience to God’s Word. God told Israel in Leviticus 26: “If ye walk in my statutes, and keep mycommandments, and do them; then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase…” - Leviticus 26:3–4. Notice the order: walk, keep, do - and then experience the fruit. Obedience brings our lives into alignment with God’s instructions. We must understand that God’s part has already been established. Scripture tells us that God “hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3). He has made provision. He takes pleasure in the prosperity and fulfilment of His children. But experiencing what God has provided requires our participation. This is why the Christian’s strategy cannot be based only on human effort. We operate by a different set of principles. We work hard, but we also obey. We plan, but we seek God’s direction. We pursue excellence, but we remain submitted to His Word.James 1:22 says: “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”Knowing God’s Word without acting upon it does not produce the full benefit of obedience. There must be a response. Sometimes, the instruction God gives may not appear logical from our perspective. Yet obedience is not measured by how convenient the instruction is; it is measured by whether we follow it. There will also be resistance. Faith does not mean that we will never encounter opposition. There may be circumstances, people, systems, or spiritual resistance that challenge our progress. But we must remember that the God who called us has also empowered us. John reminds us: “Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” - 1 John 4:4. The enemy is not greater than the God who lives within us. Therefore, do not allow resistance to become an excuse for disobedience. Keep following God’s instructions. Keep moving according to His Word. Keep doing what He has commanded. Obedience may sometimes appear slower than shortcuts, but it keeps you aligned with God’s purpose. Fruitfulness is not simply about producing more. It is about producing according to God’s will and in God’s way. Your responsibility is obedience. God’s responsibility is the result. As you walk with Him, obey His Word, and remain connected to Him, you position yourself to experience the fruitfulness He has already made available.

PRAYER AND CONFESSION
Dear Father, thank You for theprovision You have already made for my life. Before man ever accomplished anything, God blessed him and commanded him to be fruitful. This shows us that fruitfulness is not merely a human ambition; it is part of God’s desire for our lives. In Genesis 1:28, we can see a progression in the blessing God pronounced upon man: |”be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue, and have dominion.” The first expression of this blessing is fruitfulness. But the fact that God has blessed us does not automatically mean that we will experience everything contained in that blessing. God has done His part, but we must come into alignment with what He has done. There are spiritual and natural responsibilities that must be engaged, while the God Factor remains the foundation and empowerment behind our efforts. The first law under the spiritual factors is connection. A fruitful life begins by recognizing God as our Source and maintaining a living connection with Him. Being born again and knowing Christ as Lord and Saviour is foundational, but our daily fellowship with God is what keeps that
relationship active and productive. Jesus said “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself… no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” - John 15:4 A branch does not produce fruit by struggling independently. Its fruitfulness comes from its connection to the vine. In the same way, our fruitfulness is found in our connection with God. Hosea 14:8 says:“I am like a green cypress tree; your fruit is found in Me.” Our fruit is found in Him. This is why fellowship with God cannot be treated as an occasional activity. Many people may be fellowship away from their testimonies. They desire the results of a connected life without consistently maintaining the connection that produces those results. How often do you pray? How consistently do you fellowship with God? It is not always about spending an exceptionally long time with God once in a while. There is power in consistent fellowship. A person who consistently shows up in God’s presence, even when there is no extraordinary feeling, is developing a stable spiritual connection. Daniel maintained his prayer life even when circumstances were against him. “He kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and
prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime” Daniel 6:10
Consistency matters. There may be days when you feel strong and days when you feel weak. There may be times when prayer feels exciting and times when it feels dry. But our fellowship with God should not be built entirely on feelings. We must learn to show up because He is our Source. You may even establish a covenant time of prayer -a specific period that you intentionally set aside to meet with God - and remain committed to it. Remember, fruitfulness begins with connection. The branch does not have to struggle to produce fruit when it remains connected to the vine. Its responsibility is to abide. A believer may have experienced God powerfully in the past, but yesterday’s encounter cannot replace today’s fellowship with God. There is a difference between remembering when you were on fire and actually remaining on fire. Many things can cause a fire to become weak. In the same way, spiritual fire can be affected by distractions, sin, disappointment, excessive busyness, spiritual negligence, and loss of hunger for God. A person may still be active in church while becoming increasingly distant from God within. This is why we must continually tend to our spiritual lives. Natural fire requires certain elements to keep burning: fuel, oxygen, and heat. These give us a useful picture of what is necessary to sustain spiritual fire. The Word of God is our fuel. Jesus said, “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” - John 6:63. God’s Word feeds our spirit, strengthens our faith, corrects us, and keeps our hearts aligned with His will. When we neglect the Word, the fire within us begins to lose its fuel.
Prayer is our oxygen. Prayer keeps our fellowship with God alive. It is where we communicate with Him, receive strength, seek direction, and express our dependence on Him. A prayerless life will eventually become spiritually weak. Then there is hunger. Hunger represents the heat that keeps the fire alive. Jesus said, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6). Spiritual hunger is the desire for more of God. It is the refusal to become satisfied with yesterday’s experience. It is the desire to know Him more deeply, understand His Word, walk in His ways, and fulfil His purpose. When hunger disappears, spiritual fire begins to weaken. This is why we must be intentional about our relationship with God. We cannot continually feed ourselves with distractions and expect our spiritual fire to remain strong. What we give our attention to will eventually influence what burns within us. Paul told Timothy, “Stir up the gift of God, which is in thee” - 2 Timothy 1:6. There are times when we must deliberately stir ourselves again. Return to prayer. Return to the Word. Return to worship. Return to fellowship with God. If you have noticed that your passion for God is no longer what it used to be, do not simply accept the condition. Return to the source. God has not changed. His presence has not diminished.
His Word has not lost its power. The invitation remains open. Fan the flame again. Your assignment still requires fire. Your generation still needs what God has placed inside you. Do not allow distractions, disappointments, or complacency to put out what God has ignited. “For our God is a consuming fire.” - Hebrews 12:29

PRAYER AND CONFESSION
Father, keep Your fire burning within me. But fire has another important function: it purifies. Before God uses a person greatly, He is often more concerned with what is happening within that person than with what is happening through that person. Malachi describes God as a “refiner’s fire.” A refiner uses fire to separate valuable metal from impurities. The gold is not destroyed by the fire; rather, the fire removes what does not belong so that what is valuable can become more evident. In the same way, the fire of God works within a believer. It exposes attitudes, motives, habits, and desires that do not reflect Christ. Sometimes, God allows His fire to reveal areas of our lives that we would rather ignore. It may challenge our pride, bitterness, unforgiveness, disobedience, selfishness, or unhealthy desires. This process may not always be comfortable, but it is necessary. We often ask God to increase His fire in our lives because we want His power, His presence, and His anointing. But we must understand that the fire that empowers us is also the fire that purifies us. We cannot desire the manifestation of God’s power while resisting the transformation of our character. The purpose of purification is not to destroy the believer but to make the believer a better vessel. Paul told Timothy, “If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use” - 2 Timothy 2:2 .God wants to use us, but He also wants to prepare us.There are things that cannot remain in a vessel that is meant to carry God’s fire. Just as natural fire consumes certain materials, the fire of God can burn away things that have become obstacles to our spiritual growth. Sometimes, the greatest evidence that God’s fire is working in us is not a dramatic experience but a transformed character. You become slower to anger. You learn to forgive. Your motives become purer. Your desire for sin decreases. Your hunger for righteousness increases. You begin to respond differently because something within you is changing. The fire of God does not merely make us powerful; it makes us pure. And when we allow God to purify us, we become better carriers of His presence. A vessel that is constantly filled with impurities cannot effectively fulfil its purpose. Therefore, we must be willing to allow God to search our hearts and remove whatever does not belong. David prayed, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me”- Psalm 51:10). This should also be our prayer. Do not resist God’s refining process simply because it is uncomfortable. The fire may reveal something that needs to change, but its purpose is to make you more like Christ. Before asking God to use you greatly, allow Him to work deeply in you.

PRAYER AND CONFESSION

Father, purify me by Your fire. Search my heart and remove everything that does not represent You. Purify my motives, attitudes, desires, and character. Give me the grace to surrender to Your refining process, even when it is uncomfortable. Make me a clean vessel, fit for Your use and capable of carrying Your presence.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pastor & Pastor (Barrister) Billmatt Osale
Kingdom Builders Lovelife Church Incorporated</itunes:summary><itunes:duration>200</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>false</itunes:explicit><itunes:image href="https://d3wo5wojvuv7l.cloudfront.net/t_rss_itunes_square_1400/images.spreaker.com/original/973dc57a3cb64e53ff714d2a8006415d.jpg"/><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType>

THE NECESSITY OF FIRE

FRIDAY OCTOBER 9 , 2026

THE NECESSITY OF FIRE
“He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.” - Matthew 3:11

God does not give an assignment without giving what is required to fulfil it. When something is burning, its presence cannot remain hidden. In the same way, the fire of God in a believer should be evident in the way he lives, serves, prays, obeys, and fulfils his assignment. At Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples, “there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire” - Acts 2:3. The fire produced an expression. They did not merely experience something; they became empowered to do something. The disciples who had previously been afraid were now bold enough to declare the gospel.
This teaches us that spiritual fire is not given merely for an experience. The fire of God distinguishes the believer by producing a life that reflects Christ. Our words, character, decisions, service, and response to life’s challenges should carry evidence that something different is working within us. Fire also spreads. When fire is burning, it affects everything around it. Likewise, when God’s fire genuinely burns within us, it should spread into our character, relationships, service, prayer, work, and purpose. Our passion for God should not remain confined to the church or to moments of worship. A person can remain around the things of God while gradually losing his passion for God. We can continue attending services, singing songs, and using spiritual language while our hearts are no longer burning as they once did. This is why we must continually guard our spiritual fire. God has placed something in you that your generation needs. There is an assignment attached to your life, and fulfilling it requires more than natural ability. It requires spiritual fire. We established that a higher life is not necessarily a life without burdens, but a life that learns to live above its burdens. Today, we take that thought further by examining the yoke of Christ. Jesus said, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me.” This statement is important because Jesus did not promise that following Him would remove every responsibility from our lives. Instead, He introduced us to adifferent way of carrying responsibility.
The word yoke may sound negative in our contemporary understanding. We may associate it with punishment, oppression, bondage, or a curse. But in the context of Jesus’ teaching, a yoke was an instrument used to join animals together so they could work and carry a load.MA yoke is therefore not simply a weight. It is a means, instrument or principle of carrying weight thaty makes it less labourious This gives us a powerful picture of what Jesus is offering us.Imagine two oxen joined together under one yoke. They are no longer working independently. They are connected, moving in the same direction and sharing the work. One does not simply remove the responsibility of the other; rather, they work together toward the same purpose. When Jesus says, “Take my yoke upon you,” He is inviting us into this kind of alignment with Him. He is saying, in essence, “Do not carry life disconnected from Me. Walk with Me. Learn from Me. Let Me teach you how to carry what has been entrusted to you.”
This does not mean that we have no responsibility. Scripture says, “For every man shall bear his own burden” - Galatians 6:5. There is a part that belongs to us. We have responsibilities, decisions to make, prayers to pray, instructions to obey, and assignments to fulfil. Jesus will not live your life for you. He will not make every decision on your behalf. He will not pray every prayer you are supposed to pray. He will not obey God’s instructions in your place. There is a responsibility that belongs to you. But there is also a divine help that belongs to Him. This is the beauty of the yoke. Jesus knows His part, and He knows your part. The yoke does not eliminate responsibility; it brings responsibility into partnership with divine strength. This is why Jesus could say, “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” He was not saying that everything in life would become effortless. He was showing us that life becomes different when it is lived under His leadership and in partnership with Him. Many people become exhausted because they are trying to carry responsibilities that God never asked them to carry alone. They carry tomorrow’s worries today. They carry the expectations of everyone around them. They carry guilt over yesterday, fear about tomorrow, and responsibility for things beyond their control. But Jesus says: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28
A higher life is therefore not achieved by escaping every burden. It is achieved by learning whose yoke you are under and how you are carrying what has been entrusted to you.

PRAYER AND COFESSION
Father, teach me to carry life with You. Help me to understand the responsibilities You have entrusted to me and to trust You with what belongs to You. Teach me Your ways and help me to walk in alignment with Your Word and Your Spirit. We established that everyone carries a measure of weight in life, but the way we carry that weight matters. Today, we move a step further: from a heavy heart to a higher life. A higher life is not a life without burdens. It is a life that chooses to live above its burdens. It is the decision not to allow the weight of circumstances to determine the height of your life. You may have responsibilities, challenges, disappointments, and pressures, yet you can still rise above them and live from a place of faith, strength, peace, and purpose. A higher life begins with a choice. Deuteronomy 30:19 says, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life.” There are things we cannot choose in life, but there are responses we can choose. We may not choose every burden that comes our way, but we can choose whether that burden will bend us or become something we learn to carry. The first step out of a heavy heart is simply deciding that you will not remain there.Your circumstances may not change immediately, but your posture can change.. Your decision to rise can become the beginning of your higher life. Jesus gives us a remarkable invitation in Matthew 11:28–30:“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest... Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me... Every person has something to carry. The difference is not always in the weight we carry, but in how we carry it. Today, we take that thought a step further: what happens when the weight of life becomes too heavy for the heart? A heavy heart is a heart that has been bent beneath the burdens of life. It is a heart that has carried disappointment, responsibility, pain, fear, financial pressure, unanswered prayers, or emotional wounds for so long that the person begins to lose the strength to rise. The body may still be moving, the person may still be working, smiling, attending church, and interacting with people, yet inwardly, something has become tired. The Bible describes this condition when it says, “A
broken spirit drieth the bones” Proverbs 17:22. There is a kind of weariness that is deeper than
physical exhaustion. It is the weariness of the soul. One of the greatest mistakes a person can make
is to decide to carry the weight of life alone. They carry yesterday's pain into today's responsibilities and gradually become overwhelmed. Everyone has a weight. The person you envy may have a burden you know nothing about. The person who appears strong may also be fighting an unseen battle. The difference is often not whether someone has a burden, but whether they have learned how to carry it. Paul said, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair” - 2
Corinthians4:8
Notice that the pressure was real. Paul did not deny the burden. Yet the burden did not have permission to determine the condition of his heart. A heavy heart, when left unattended, can produce
1. Stagnation..
2. Emotional imbalance..
3. Isolation.
4. Weariness. Isaiah 40:30 says, “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.”
5. loss of hope, bitterness, anxiety, resentment, poor judgment, spiritual dryness, and loss of joy. When the heart becomesoverwhelmed, even things that once brought excitement can begin to feel meaningless. This is why we must pay attention to the condition of our hearts. A heavy heart is not necessarily something you deliberately chose to experience. Life can place unexpected weights upon us. However, remaining permanently under the weight, refusing God's help, refusing to rise, and refusing to seek the strength necessary to carry it differently can become a choice.Your
heart was not designed to carry the whole world. So, rise, receive grace,, receive strength, receive
divine empowerment and learn to carry what has been placed in your hands with God.

PRAYER AND CONFESSION
Lord, I acknowledge that I cannot carry the weight of life by my own strength. Give me the grace to recognize the condition of my heart and the wisdom to seek Your help. I receive Your strength and Your grace for today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pst & Pst (Barr.) Isaiah 40:30 says, “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.”
5. loss of hope, bitterness, anxiety, resentment, poor judgment, spiritual dryness, and loss of joy.

Pst & Pst (Barr.) Luke 2:40 KJV

The blessings of God upon our lives are intact, what is holding back the manifestation of these blessings is our level of maturity, lets see the benefits of spiritual maturity, when we have a knowledge of these benefits, it will spur us to strive for maturity. The First benefit you need to know is that your knowledge of God and His ways gives you an edge over the enemy. Daniel 11:32 …”but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Your only hope in outwitting the devil is to know what God has said over you, the ways of God, and walking in conscious alignment to this knowledge. The Bible helps us to understand in Hosea 4:6 – “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” Inadequate knowledge is a major disadvantage, and so strive and work at closing the knowledge gap of who you are in Christ and what you must do to become so. Secondly, when you become spiritually mature, you are granted access into your inheritance. See Acts 20:32- “And now, brethren, behold I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.” Another is that it opens you up for greater revelation of God’s word and His ways. In 1Corinthians 3:1-3 Apostle Paul was speaking to the Church at Corinth: “However, brothers and sisters, I could not talk to you as to spiritual people, but [only] as to worldly people [dominated by human nature], mere infants [in the new life] in Christ! I fed you with milk, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Even now you are still not ready. You are still worldly [controlled by ordinary impulses, the sinful capacity]. For as long as there is jealousy and strife and discord among you, are you not unspiritual, and are you not walking like ordinary men [unchanged by faith]?...” [AMP] He desired to speak to them on matters of greater importance but had to restrain himself for they were not yet matured enough for such matters and responsibilities to be committed to them.
Spiritual Maturity helps you to resist wrong doctrine Ephesians 4:14 that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. You will be able to discern the manipulations of devils hiding in doctrines. You will be able to conduct yourself with Wisdom. Being Spiritually Mature, attracts favour from God, 1Samuel 2:26 And the Child Samuel grew on and was in favour both to the Lord and also with men. Luke 2:52_ And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. Spiritual growth will command favour and Wisdom upon your life. Halleluyah‼

PRAYER AND CONFESSION:
Lord, thank You for Your plan towards me are great, and beyond what my mind can comprehend, I ask for sight to see clearly the Path to follow, refresh my passion for growth and help me remain steadfast on the Path of Purpose you have set me on in Jesus Name Amen.

Pst & Pst (Barr.) The cost to grow is split into two, the internal and external cost One of the Internal costs is self-discipline: it is practice of training your mind, nurturing your behavior, your body to obey your personal decisions and order. It is not enough to take decisions, everything around you that is required for the manifestation and fulfilment of the decision need to be trained to respond accordingly. 1Corinthians 9:24-27
The flesh is a killer, it is one of the greatest enemy you have on this earth, it loves comfort
and pleasures, even when you have an examination to prepare for, the flesh still wants to rest, even when things are at stake spiritually, the flesh still want to choose comfort over addressing those issues permanently, to be ruled by the flesh is to decide to live a mediocre life, an unfulfilling life and an empty one. You can indeed discipline your flesh to crave to do the things you want to do. Have a goal and decide what you want out of life, what you want to become and apply yourself consistently to it. Some of the external Costs include relationships with those that keep you unserious. Vision makes you have less friends, because you need more time tofocus. A man that begins to get more focused in life, will begin to limit his friendships, a man with vision keeps friendships that are profiting to his vision. You will attract your type. Now you have Christ in you, that is not enough; do you manifest Him outwardly or is He hidden in you? Maturity is the sum total of the discipline you have received from the Holy Spirit, so how you respond to offences, will you still react in accordance with the flesh or in obedience to The Spirit of God dwelling within you? How yielded are you to the things of The Spirit? Maturity is the increase in the character of Christ, the behavioral patterns of Christ in you. Galatians 4:19 “my little children of whom I travail again, until Christ be formed in you. So, Apostle Paul’s travail here is not one to birth them in Christ, but rather that they are thoroughly formed in the image of Christ, so you can freely reflect and manifest Christ in all you do. God is always looking for a vessel to use to affect this world, but will only use you when you are mature, even if you are young, yes but keep growing, do not remain in one spot, move from that level, you got to grow” When you are still a babe, God cannot do much with you, and before a prophet is released, he goes through the wilderness, it takes fire to be purified as Gold. Spiritual Maturity will cost you, Cost is the effort, loss or damage that is involved to do or achieve something, if you must achieve something of great worth, it will cost you. Blessings are being delayed, because we do not spend time in preparation for it, to become mature enough to handle these blessings to even fit into them. Develop what is needed to carry the blessings early, do not miss your season, develop the Spiritual discipline now, develop the right attitude now, the character, the mind and heart for big things, Grow Now.

Halleluyah‼!

PRAYERS/CONFESSION
I declare that I am Passionate for Growth, I look out for and take every opportunity I get to grow, I receive Grace, to stay committed to the process of preparation for the demands, the responsibilities, the blessings, the next level and new dimensions that My Heavenly Father has called me to function in.
