This training course hosted 26 youth workers working directly with youth from four different countries: Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, and Hungary. The podcast episodes evaluate the experiences of participants of the treaining course.

The training course was designed to elevate the expertise of youth workers in supporting young people’s mental well-being through creative and practical non-formal approaches.

The MIND training course was grounded in the principles of:
Mindfulness, Inclusion and integration, Non-judgment and non-discrimination, and Diversity and intercultural understanding, as well as European citizenship and employability.

Core topics included:

• Introduction to MIND for mental health

Participants explored key concepts such as mindfulness, inclusion, diversity, mental health, European citizenship, and employability within the framework of youth work.

• Non-formal education methods

Interactive activities, simulations, and role-plays were used to demonstrate innovative ways of integrating mental health topics into youth work practice.

• Designing MIND for mental health programs

Participants learned how to set clear learning objectives, develop structured lesson plans, evaluate program outcomes and design dissemination strategies to engage young people beyond the project framework.

• Diversity, inclusion and intercultural competence

The course provided strategies to foster inclusive environments and empower marginalized groups, ensuring equal access to mental health initiatives.

• Dissemination planning
