In Episode 9, Kimberly takes Dane, Steve and Bryan back to school, at least in spirit. Bryan shares how growing up in the country with no neighbors led him to practice every night, get noticed at a party and hit the road at 16. Steve talks about learning rock melodies by ear on his grandmother’s piano, while Dane remembers the Marshall amp and AC/DC records that made guitar feel possible.

The conversation moves through the records that taught them, why bass players and drummers stay busy, and how a melody can transport us to another time. They revisit the movies and school supplies that shaped their generation, the concerts that first lit the fuse and the choices they might reconsider if they could return to high school knowing what they know now.
